It's Crushing
     Sometimes the silence speaks volumes...

Bill:
     My gaze was focused on the woman that was sleeping in my bed. I didn't know how, but just looking at the woman as she laid there made me feel at peace. I could feel our child growing inside her and that warmed me, but there was still the pressing issue of our daughter. I wanted nothing more than to crawl into bed with Seren, but I couldn't allow myself to do that.
     I turned and walked out of the room in search of Tom. I found what I was looking for in the tome. I knew how to get my daughter bBreaking the Silence -Ch. 12- by *Mousi-Mikki

Bill:
     It was easier to worry about things without Rune around, but I could feel how anxious my brother was. I remembered the first time I let Schatzi spend the night away. I had been a nervous wreck and that had only been for a single night and Schatzi was nearly eight. I could only imagine how Tom was feeling, "Tomi," I stepped over to him and placed my hand on his shoulder, "Mama will take care of him."
     Tom nodded as he looked past me to Seren, "I know," he smiled, "We need to get this done as soon aBreaking the Silence -Ch. 11- by *Mousi-Mikki

Tom:
     Bill was sitting with Seren as she watched TV and he read Mije re Muhre. I knew that Bill had the entire book translated and he was just making sure he hadn't missed a single thing. It was strange to see him so focused on something. Bill just wanted Schatzi back, and I understood that. I wanted to see my niece again, but this couldn't be healthy for him.
     "New update on Schatzi."
     I jumped and spun at the sound of Derik's voice, "Jesus, kid!"

     Sometimes the silence speaks volumes...

Bill:
     It clicked. It finally clicked! I had been so focused on getting Schatzi back that I didn't even think about the normal way the silent ones were made! How could I have been so dense? Gott! I was such an idiot at times!
     "Bill?" I looked ahead to Seren as I realized that I had stopped in the middle of the store. The woman's eyes were full of concern and that just made me smile.
     "Oh, Seren," I hurried over to her and lifted her off her feet, "I think I figured Breaking the Silence -Ch. 9- by *Mousi-Mikki

What will happen next with SOPA and PIPA?

Although support has slipped in both the Senate and the House, there is a Senate vote on PIPA scheduled for January 24, and the House will be moving forward as well. It is important to keep the pressure up on both houses. We expect changes that appear to tone down the damaging effects of the laws, without addressing their fundamental flaws.

What should I do now?

Keep calling your representatives! Tell them you believe in a free and open Internet!

I live in the United States. What's the best way for me to help?

The most effective action you can take is to call your representatives and tell them you oppose SOPA and PIPA, and any similar legislation. Type your zipcode in the locator box here [link] to find your representatives' contact information. Text-based communication is okay, but phone calls have the most impact.

I don't live in the United States. What's the best way for me to help?

Contact your country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs or similar government agency. Tell them you oppose SOPA and PIPA, and any similar legislation. SOPA and PIPA will affect websites outside of the United States, and even sites inside the United States (like Wikipedia) that also affect non-American readers -- like you. Calling your own government will also let them know you don't want them to create their own bad anti-Internet legislation.
